Welcome to the Quest for Valor Wiki!

A rundown of your experience playing the [MMORPG] [MMORTS] Medieval/Fantasy Themed Quest for Valor.

What's an MMORPG?

It's a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.  A game where you take on the identity of an avatar and run around for fun and profit.

What's an MMORTS?

It's a Real Time Strategy game.  Things go on whether or not you're logged in to play.  Meaning while you're away your character is still in the world adventuring or whatnot.

How in the world can a game be both?!

Simple enough.  While logged on it's an MMORPG, logged out it's an MMORTS.  There are simply too many things that should take much longer than a couple hours to do.  So while you're away from the game, your character can either be gathering goods, crafting some item, resting, doing charity work, etc.

Ok!  I have the software/found your website.  What now?

You create your account, giving yourself what I'd refer to as a "clean" name.  It'll be a no more than hree worded name.  No [titles], no numbers, no copywritten names, or real world names.  There will be a box to assist the players that are creatively lacking.  You then select a secure password and select any number of security increasing methods which make your account more secure, but does slow down your logging in time.

You then create your character.  One character per account and your account name is your character's name.  From there you select from a variety of characteristics to create your in-game persona.  For those who choose to spare a couple minutes they can answer questions in a short quiz to find a character that fits their personality.  Those boring uncreative blokes can just mash a button to get a randomly selected body then fine tune their character.

What characteristics do I have to make my avatar pretty?

Gender- look it up in the dictionary if you don't know what this is. (Permanent.)

Species- Elf, Human, Dwarf, Gnome, or half and half of either. 10 choices in all.  (Permanent.)

Tribe- Subsection of species- each has slightly different specialization compared to each other.  2-3 per species.  Biggest difference of this is looks and starting town.

Diety- Choose your god/goddess to specify the alignment.  Dependent on species.  (Can be changed later.)

Other-facial features, skin color, starting/base clothes.
